What does iBASE cost?

  • iBASE program fee: $5,615
    • Includes university support services such as a gym pass, city bus pass, and access to Counselling Services, Student Success Office, etc.
  • University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) for 7 weeks: $104
    • If you have OHIP, you can receive a refund for this amount upon showing proof to the English Language Institute office.
  • Other expenses
    • Books and supplies: $100-$200 
      • You will pay for this amount when you arrive for iBASE. You will not pay this amount as part of your total tuition fees.
    • Residence including full meal plan: $2,550
      • Move-in Day: Monday, July 8, 2019
      • Move-out Day: Thursday, August 29, 2019
      • Students in the iBASE program are encouraged to live in Renison University College’s residence.  Residence rooms are available on a first come first serve basis.  Be sure to confirm your offer by Monday, June 3, 2019 and submit your fees no later than Friday, June 7, 2019.
  • Total fees (including tuition/health insurance/residence): $8,269

How do I pay for iBASE?

You must pay your tuition and fees by June 7, 2019 to reserve your place in iBASE.

Making a Payment from a Bank in Canada

There are two ways to pay your fees from a Canadian bank:

  1. Bank Payment
    • Add Renison University College as a bill payment “payee”.
    • Use your student ID number as the “account number”.   Please be very sure that you are using the correct student ID number.
    • Allow 2-4 business days for your payment to reach Renison University College.
    • If you post-date your payment, we will not be able to process it until the date of the payment. Late fees may apply.
  2. Certified Cheque, Money Order or Bank Draft from a Canadian Bank
    • Payable to Renison University College.
    • include your student number and name on the memo line of the payment.

Making a Payment from a Bank in Another Country

  1. Western Union for International Students (preferred method of payment).
    • Please ensure you submit this payment to Renison University College - not the University of Waterloo
  2. Certified cheque, International money order, or bank draft.

Program Refund

Your payment includes a $200 CAD non-refundable registration fee. If you're unable to obtain a Study Permit in time to arrive at Waterloo by July 17, 2019 at the latest, you may apply for a refund. You'll receive the amount you paid to Renison, less this registration fee.
