Where will I take classes and stay during BASE?

Renison University College
In BASE, you'll take courses at Waterloo and at Renison University College, which is located right on Waterloo's campus.

Your English language courses are located at Renison. Your university credit courses take place in lecture halls on Waterloo's main campus.

It takes a short 5 to 15-minute walk from Renison to most locations on main campus. The Student Life Centre building is only three minutes away!

Use our interactive maps to find buildings, places to eat, and more.

Where will you stay?

During BASE, you will stay in one of Waterloo's residences or one of the residences of our affiliated University Colleges

Residence life is an important part of the BASE program. Your residence leaders are upper-year students called dons. They organize activities that help you meet new people and make friends.

Renison Residence provides an exclusive BASE Living-Learning Community for BASE students. As you live among other Canadian and international students, you can access special supports, resources, and events as part of the BASE Living-Learning Community if you live in Renison Residence.
