Grimm Lecture cancelled

Friday, March 13, 2020

In response to concerns about the coronavirus, the University of Waterloo is cancelling all non-essential events, and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is cancelling all bookings of its facilities. The Grimm Lecture was scheduled to be held in the CIGI Auditorium on Thursday, 19 March 2020, and must now be cancelled.

Given the anxiety surrounding the public health situation and the uncertainty as to when things might return to normal, it is not possible to reschedule the Grimm Lecture. We are making arrangements for Samantha Rose Hill to livestream her lecture over the internet at the same time as the in-person lecture was going to take place (7pm Thursday, 19 March 2020). Once we have finalized those details, we will communicate them to you through our usual channels (this website, Eventbrite, our e-mail list, Twitter, Facebook).

We're very sorry to disappoint you with news of this cancellation, but we look forward to welcoming you to our future events.
