Ashwin
Nayak,
a
professor
in
the
Combinatorics
and
Optimization
department,
was
awarded
$260,000
in
funding
for
Canadian
Queen
Elizabeth
II
Diamond
Jubilee
Scholarships.
Ashwin
is
the
director
of
the
Quantum
Information
graduate
program
at
the
Institute
for
Quantum
Computing
(IQC).
The
funding
will
be
used
to
support
24
Canadian
undergraduate
and
graduate
students
from
IQC
to
vist
the
Centre
for
Quantum
Technologies
(CQT)
at
the
National
University
of
Singapore.
The
program
will
also support
16
CQT
students
on
research
visits
to
IQC.
