Sara Walker is an Assistant Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration and Deputy Director of the Beyond Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science at Arizona State University (ASU), Emergence Research Group at ASU . She is also a Fellow of the Arizona State University-Santa Fe Institute Center for Biosocial Complex Systems. Her research lies at the intersection of theoretical physics, complex systems and astrobiology and focuses on understanding the origin and nature of life, particularly in identifying universal features of life that might inform models for how life first emerged.
