Dr. Marta Berbés-Blázquez
Marta Berbés-Blázquez is an Assistant Professor in the School of Environment, Resources, and Sustainability at the University of Waterloo. Her research examines how cities can adapt to climate change in ways that are resilient, equitable, and grounded in community priorities. She specializes in social-ecological-technological systems, urban futures, and environmental justice, working closely with municipalities, community organizations, and international research networks to co-create visions and pathways for just urban transitions.
