Nahid Maleki-Jirsaraei is a physicist and complexity scientist with over three decades of research experience in soft condensed matter, complex fluids, and complex systems, including founding and leading the Complex Systems Lab at Alzahra University, Tehran, for nearly 30 years. Her recent work applies complex adaptive systems theory to computational and theoretical questions at the boundary of physics and social science, including agent-based modeling of social contagion dynamics on complex networks and the structural limits of deterministic social theory. She is currently based in Calgary, Canada.
