Case tracking: two community members test positive

Monday, January 11, 2021

On Monday, January 11, 2021, Region of Waterloo public health informed us of two individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 and had visited our campus.

The first person was last on campus on Tuesday, January 5. They are in self-isolation and officials have been in touch all relevant campus close contacts.

The second case was last on campus on Wednesday January 6. They did not have any on campus close contacts.

If you have not been identified as a close contact of these individuals, you should continue to follow our on-campus safety procedures including our campus check in screening daily, and self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and seek testing if needed.

We take the privacy of individuals extremely seriously. In reporting on positive cases, the University will seek to protect the private health information of individuals. You should check our disclosure protocol for what to do if someone reveals to you that they have tested positive for COVID-19.
