I’m pleased to share that the campus COVID-19 Testing Assessment Centre at Health Services is now also open to family members of all University of Waterloo students, employees, and postdocs. Family members must be living at the same household/residential address.
Many in our campus community have expressed the need for this service to be extended, so I am very pleased that groups across campus have worked to make this important step in our COVID-19 response possible.
COVID-19 testing is by appointment only. You do not need a doctor’s referral to get tested.
To make an appointment:
You can learn more about COVID-19 testing on the Health Services website.
With winter on its way, it is important to get vaccinated for the flu before the seasonal outbreak, especially if you fall into a high-risk category.
Flu shots are available through Health Services to students and employees by appointment only. To book an appointment, call 519-888-4096.
I know that you are all working extremely hard, and the colder weather and shorter days can be isolating, especially as the pandemic continues on. Help is available if you need it.
Please remember to take care of yourselves and each other as we head into the winter months.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
