End of stay-at-home order, no change to campus operations

Thursday, May 27, 2021

This message was originally sent to employees by Kate Windsor, director of safety.

  • The province of Ontario is scheduled to end its stay-at-home order on June 2
  • There will be no changes to any restrictions currently in place until stage one of the three stage re-opening plan is enacted

The Province of Ontario’s current Stay-at-Home Order is scheduled to end June 2, 2021. However, the University cannot offer non-essential in-person activity until step one of the government’s re-opening plan begins. This is currently estimated to be June 14.

This means that there will be no changes to current restrictions to in-person learning, work or services until that time.

Once we have more information from province, including confirmation of when step one will begin, we will share further information with you.

Please continue to follow all University safety protocols and only come to campus for approved activities.

Remember that help is available  if you need it. Thank you for your perseverance, patience and support as we all continue do our part to stop the spread.
