On May 25th, employees of Renison celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25(!) years of service at Renison gathered for a celebratory event, the first of the new Employee Service Recognition Program implemented by Human Resources.
At the 22nd Annual “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Language Proficiency Competition for University and College Students for Ontario and Manitoba held on Sunday, May 28th at Seneca College, Toronto, three Renison students demonstrated excellency and placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd. These students have studied Chinese for two years at Renison, starting with CHINA 101R and studying up to CHINA 202R.

Daniel Qi, a graduate student who took JAPAN courses at Renison, recently received a prestigious scholarship funded by the Japanese Government. This scholarship is offered by The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (English acronym: MEXT) to Canadian students wishing to pursue their studies at a Japanese university.
Renison recently embarked on a reimagining exercise with many of our Anglican Church partners to determine the role that Renison can play in supporting and advancing community engagement and outreach. There is a desire for a variety of events, workshops and retreats to be made freely and readily available to our community that will serve as stages of support on our spiritual journey together.
The second in the SSW speaker series features Vikki Reynolds, who will speak about Collective Care, Solidarity and Justice Doing.

In just a few weeks, Renison’s Knowledge Development and Exchange (KDE) Hub for Mental Health Promotion will hold its third Annual Symposium, February 28 and March 1. This free virtual event is open to all who are interested in mental health promotion, including Renison students, colleagues and friends.
