3 Renison Students Place at the the 22nd Annual “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Language Proficiency Competition

At the 22nd Annual “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Language Proficiency Competition for University and College Students for Ontario and Manitoba held on Sunday, May 28th at Seneca College, Toronto, three Renison students demonstrated excellency and placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd. These students have studied Chinese for two years at Renison, starting with CHINA 101R and studying up to CHINA 202R.

Get your hands dirty and help the Renison Green Team make the East-West Garden beautiful by adding much needed mulch. Every Thursday until June 15, or until all the mulch is distributed, all are welcome to help in the garden anytime between 1-2pm. Can't commit for an hour? No problem - any time you can spare is much appreciated!

New Multi-faith Prayer Space available at Renison

News from Student Experience and Housing (SEAH):

In partnership with the Muslim Student Association and Renison Academic Student Council, your Student Experience and Housing team has been working hard to develop a new multi-faith prayer space at Renison. This space, located in Room 0103 in the basement level (below the Renison Ministry Centre & Lusi Wong Library), will be in the previously-known Study Cave room area. 

At present, the room is an open space available for quiet prayer. We will be working in the coming weeks to furnish the room further with carpeting, shelving, and additional features to allow for greater functionality of the space.

Renison Japanese Student Receives Prestigious Scholarship

Daniel Qi, a graduate student who took JAPAN courses at Renison, recently received a prestigious scholarship funded by the Japanese Government. This scholarship is offered by The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (English acronym: MEXT) to Canadian students wishing to pursue their studies at a Japanese university.
