Alumni Relations recognizes top graduating students for academic achievement, by awarding the
Two scholarships valued at $10,000, will be awarded annually to full-time female graduate students enrolled in a master’s program in the Faculty of Mathematics. Students must be conducting research on assessment and/or mitigation of climate change. Preference will be given to international students.
This fund is made possible by a donation from Adarsh Mehta, BMath ’98, Applied Mathematics, and Jeffrey Jenner, BMath ’84, Math Accounting.

Eligibility & selection criteria:
- Full-time female graduate students registered in a research-based master's program in the Faculty of Mathematics, wherein female students are underrepresented.
- Underrepresented criteria for the Faculty of Mathematics is subject to annual review and may change as per framework from IAP and Dean's Council. In the event that women are no longer underrepresented within the Faculty of Mathematics, only the remaining eligibility will apply.
- Students must be conducting research on assessment and/or mitigation of climate change.
- Preference to be given to international students.
- Interested students must submit an application to the Faculty of Mathematics by May 1. Selection will be based on a demonstrated passion for the environment and climate change.
- Selection of a recipient will be made by a committee led by the Office of the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Mathematics normally each winter.
- This scholarship will be in addition to any funding indicated in the offer of admission.
- The scholarship will be paid in equal instalments across two or three academic terms.
