Dr. Gordon Guyatt
Dr. Gordon Guyatt, a leading clinical investigator and educator, coined the term "evidence-based medicine" (EBM) in 1990, revolutionizing medical education and practice. A Distinguished McMaster Professor, he pioneered EBM research methods, led the influential "Users' Guides to the Medical Literature," and played a key role in developing the globally adopted GRADE approach. His contributions span clinical trials, health measurement, and systematic review standards. With over 1,500 publications and 200,000 citations, he is among the world’s most cited scientists and has received numerous honors, including induction into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.
