A message from Information Systems & Technology (IST).
Information Systems & Technology (IST) has launched a website for the Office 365 Employee Email Investigation. The new site will offer University employees a central hub for information and resources related to the possible migration of employee email from our on-premise solution to the cloud-based Office 365 environment.

Contrary to Waterloo’s typically unpredictable climate, the weather couldn’t have been better on June 18th, 2019. The sun and high temperatures made for the perfect day for Cohesity, an American tech storage company to make a visit to the University of Waterloo campus.
The American company, currently in the process of expanding into Canada, showcased their black and lime green Cohesity semi-truck, just outside of Hagey Hall. Inside the truck, students could attend an information session to learn more about the company. The Cohesity truck is a computer display and mobile presentation space on wheels, which allowed session attendees to immerse themselves in the work of the company.
Proving to draw the attention of those on campus, the truck was visited by those who knew of the session, those who had heard from others on campus, and those walking by. Set up at the entrance to the truck, the Cohesity representatives had brought a variety of promotional materials including pop sockets, semi-truck shaped stress balls, lanyards and more.
The Cohesity team will be returning to our campus in future terms for additional information sessions and have marked a place in the Employer Information Session history books as our first semi-truck information session. We look forward to welcoming them back!

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
