Description
Please note: this workshop is intended for instructors.
This session will introduce you to LEARN (D2L Brightspace), Waterloo's course management system for presenting course activities and resources in on-campus and fully online courses. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Use the LEARN environment to communicate with your students via Announcements and Classlist
- Make decisions around the most effective way to organize your course material in the Content area
- Set up the course assessment scheme in the Grades area
- Use provided resources to support exploring more of the tools available within LEARN on your own
Depending on time and interest during the session, we may have the opportunity to explore other LEARN tools such as discussions, dropboxes, and/or quizzes.
This session also includes a general overview of considerations for copyright and how to incorporate course reserves into your LEARN site.
