The Block program is a 2-week version of the Fundamentals of University Teaching program.

How it works

The Block program is a highly intensive offering of the Fundamentals program that requires a full-time commitment for two weeks

Participants are issued the same Certificate of Completion and transcript milestone as the regular Fundamentals program and complete the same programming, which includes:

  • six workshops on university teaching and
  • three microteaching sessions, where participants deliver 15-minute lessons to their peers and receive feedback on their teaching.

Registration

  • The Block program is offered each April, August, and December
  • Participants must be graduate students currently registered at the UWaterloo
  • Participants must commit for the entire two-weeks of the program
  • Registration is limited to 16 participants

The next 2-week block program (April 3 - April 13, 2017) is closed. To be added to the notification mailing list for the next offering, please email cte-grad@uwaterloo.ca.
