Research interests
- Scientific expertise encompasses the fields of biomedical signal and image processing as well as diagnostic imaging and its integration with high-performance computing
- Conducts research on high-frame-rate ultrasound imaging with application to blood flow estimation
- Various aspects of therapeutic ultrasound, including wave-matter interactions, sonoporation, cellular bioeffects, and biophysics
- Recipient of a number of prestigious awards, such as NSERC Graduate and Post-Graduate Scholarships (2002-2006), Symposium of Ultrasound Electronic’s Young Scientist Award (2012), and Erasmus Mundus Visiting Professorship (2013). He has authored and co-authored more than 36 journal publications in top venues such as IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control as well as Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology.
