Wednesday, February 7, 2018

ECE students Jia Hui Liang and Hari Govind V.K., ECE professors Vijay Ganesh, Krzysztof Czarnecki and Computer Science's Professor Pascal Poupart's paper entitled "An Empirical Study of Branching Heuristics through the Lens of Global Learning Rate," has been selected for submission and presentation at the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) Sister Conference Best Paper Track. Ganesh is receiving this honour for the second time, the first was for a paper he submitted in 2015.

IJCAI is one of the most attended conferences in artificial intelligence (AI). Since 2011, IJCAI has had a special "Sister Conference Best Paper Track" for presentations of best papers from conferences that are of interest to an AI audience. The intent of this track is to celebrate the best work, give it exposure to a more general audience, and foster collaboration within the research communities. Since its inception, the Sister Conference Track has become one of the most popular tracks at IJCAI.

Congratulations!
