
Congratulations to Professor William Wong, who was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Materials Research Society (MRS).
Founded in 1973, the MRS is a member-driven organization with over 11,000 materials researchers advancing interdisciplinary materials research and technology. Board members are elected to 3-year terms and help guide one of the largest technical societies in the world, with membership spanning over 90 countries.
Wong, a professor in electrical and computer engineering, and director of the Giga-to-Nanoelectronics (G2N) Centre, is internationally renowned for his ground-breaking work in the development of large-area flexible electronic systems for applications in solid-state lighting, flat panel displays, digital imagers, and solar energy conversion.
