Nine Waterloo-led research projects will receive more than $17 million from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) for infrastructure to support research.
The awards from CFI’s Innovation Fund were announced by the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science.
Two of those awards involve professors from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering:
- William Wong (Electrical and Computer Engineering): Facility for Functionally Advanced Sensor Technology ($2,852,298)
- Michal Bajcsy, Na Young Kim, Michael Reimer, and Chris Wilson, (Electrical and Computer Engineering) are Co-Investigators on a project led by Kyung Soo Choi (Physics and Astronomy): Photonic Quantum Circuits - The Integration of Atomic and Solid-State Quantum Systems ($960,000)
