Professor Claudio Canizares is the recipient of the 2017 IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Outstanding Power Engineering Educator Award “for fostering partnerships between industry and power engineering education and for developing innovative online power engineering programs”.
This award was established to recognize outstanding educators who have conducted classroom lectures and instructions in electrical engineering, from a college or university with an accredited program in electrical engineering or equivalent.
