ECE Professor, Sherman Shen, has received the prestigious IEEE Vehicular Technology Society 2018  James Evans Avant Garde Award for his contributions to fundamental theories and innovative networking protocols in vehicular communications.

The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society brings together individuals from academia, government, and industry to discuss and exchange ideas in the fields of wireless, mobile, and vehicular technology.
