University of Waterloo grad made easy money the hard way in tech world

Before the dot-com bubble burst, Marc Morin got in, made his millions and got out. Getting back to the top has been an adventure that has taught him a lot about business and success.

The workforce at Marc Morin's startup grew by more than 200 per cent this year and the hiring continues.

The co-founder and chief executive at Auvik Networks has been here before. He is a serial entrepreneur who founded or has co-founded four startups and pursued opportunities on the way to multimillion dollar exits.

If current trends continue, it looks like Morin will do it again. He says it takes five to 10 years to build a startup and cash out. So growth and traction at Auvik, founded in 2011, are right on track.
