STEMpowered Winter 2025 Programs

Engineering Outreach is excited to offer STEMpowered After School Clubs, which are free four-week programs available for self-identifying Black youth in Grades 2-3, 4-5 and 6-8.

Participants will cover a variety of STEM topics through hands-on activities. Explore new technology, design and build solutions to unique problems, and improve your coding skills, all while connecting with new friends during this in-person program! The winter term will be entirely new content from previous terms!

4-Week In-Person Programs


When: Weekly evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm (See dates below)
Location: University of Waterloo, Waterloo Campus
Price: FREE for self-identifying Black youth

We are excited to offer free pizza and snacks each week of the club. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate gluten free dietary needs.

Get ready for STEMpowered PD Day Camps!

For the Winter 2025 term, we will run free one-day programs available for self-identifying Black youth in grades 3-8.

Participants have fun with hands-on activities by learning engineering design principles, try out some fun tech, connect creativity with STEM and explore the UWaterloo campus!

One Day In-Person Programs


When: January 17 & March 31; 9:00 am to 4:00 pm 
Location: University of Waterloo, Waterloo Campus
Price: FREE for self-identifying Black youth
