How residency affects tuition fees

Tuition fees are assessed based on your domestic residency status or international immigration status. There are three residency statuses that impact tuition fees: Domestic Ontario, Domestic Out of Province and International

For information concerning what determines your status as a Domestic Ontario student or Domestic Out of Province student, please check The Centre's website.  The fee schedules provide information regarding your program’s tuition amounts based on your residency status.

Domestic Ontario tuition fees will be assessed for validated Indigenous or Native American students from Canada and the continental US. Validated members of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation or Six Nations of the Grand River will have their tuition fee waived.

For additional information, please visit the Office of Indigenous Relations website.

My fees adjustment has resulted in a credit balance. How do I obtain a refund?

Refunds are processed once a term in the third month of the term.

  • If the credit balance originates from a Canadian bank payment that you made, your credit will be automatically refunded to you provided that you have added your banking information on Quest or held on your student account to be applied to future charges.

  • If the credit balance originates from an international payment, the credit will remain on your student account to be applied to future charges.

I can see my tuition has changed but I don’t see my UHIP charge on my Quest account.

You can expect to receive an email from Student Financial Services about your health coverage. Under some circumstances, you may be eligible to have UHIP coverage, please contact SFS for additional information.
