GEM ranks in the top 100 Geography departments in the world

Again this year, the Department of Geography and Environmental Management has been ranked in the top 100 Geography departments in the world by UK firm Quacquarelli Symonds Ltd. The QS World University Rankings is regarded as one of the three most influential and widely observed international university rankings, along with the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and the Academic Ranking of World Universities. The University of Waterloo fared well in 2014, with seven subjects ranking the world's top 100. In 2013, Geography was rated by QS as a subject strength in Canada.
