Elise Vist and James Skidmore, University of Waterloo; A Webinar for Graduate Students, 25th of June 2020, 1:00 PM EDT
Graduate students do a lot of academic writing within their disciplines, be it journal articles, conference presentations, or seminar papers. But what if you’d like to communicate your findings to an audience beyond your peers or professors? Come to this workshop with a piece of academic writing you'd like to turn into a blog, and we'll take you through the first steps to help you kickstart the process. We’ll examine how to turn academic writing into a blogpost which can then serve as the basis for various kinds of public-facing communications. The webinar itself will include time for you to work on revising an academic paper for a more public purpose, so come with a seminar essay, conference paper, or other piece of academic writing you'd like to work on.

Places for this webinar are limited; register quickly to avoid disappointment.

Hosted by the Writing and Communication Centre and the Waterloo Centre for German Studies, University of Waterloo
