Research

An expert in Russian folklore and contemporary Russian literature, Professor Szarycz has supervised theses on Old Russian literature as well as literature of the 1920s, 1960s, and the Glasnost period. Dr. Szarycz also has an ancillary interest in Polish literature. He has recently published on Russian fairy tales.
