Flag of Ukraine
The Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies is engaged in the teaching of several Germanic and Slavic languages and cultures in an effort to improve mutual understanding, recognition, and respect among all peoples. Our shared history has taught us that war is not the way to achieve any of these goals, but results in untold pain and suffering. We are deeply concerned about the human consequences of the military assault on the safety and well-being of the Ukrainian people. We express our solidarity with all those who are affected by it and who stand courageously against military aggression.
