Kyle Scholz wins teaching award

Kyle Scholz - around the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies, it's practically a household name. Kyle first came to the University of Waterloo in 2004 to start his undergraduate degree, and he has been here ever since. After completing a Joint Honours BA in English and German, he went on to do an MA in German, and right now he is just months away from completing his PhD.

Always an active supporter of the department, as a grad student Kyle has taught a variety of language and culture courses, and always to great aplomb. That's why he has been awarded the Warren Ober Award for Outstanding Teaching by Graduate Students in the Faculty of Arts. The award recognizes "graduate students who have made significant contributions to classroom teaching," and that describes Kyle to a "T".

Currently employed by the Centre for Teaching Excellence as a Faculty Liaison, Kyle shares his expertise and interest in teaching with any instructor in Arts who calls upon his services. The whole Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies congratulates Kyle on receiving this well deserved recognition!
