Richard Barnett is from Fort McMurray, Alberta and is currently a student of the joint Intercultural German Studies Master’s Program between the University of Waterloo and Universität Mannheim. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in 2013 at the University of Alberta’s Augustana Faculty in Camrose, Alberta, where he studied French, German, and American history. Throughout the course of his undergraduate degree, Richard also completed 3 summer programs organized through the University of Alberta’s Augustana and Universität Kassel in Kassel, Germany. His research interests lie within the importance and development of modern cultural phenomena and their impacts on present-day societies.
