This scholarship was established by the friends and family of the late Bob Graham, an Associate Professor in Recreation and Leisure Studies, and a doctoral student in the School of Planning.
Graduate students in their second year in the Faculty of Health or the Faculty of Environment with an overall average of B+, and financial need are eligible to apply. The area of study must be terrestrial and marine parks and conservation, especially the integration of social science and natural science information, cooperative management, interpretation/environmental education or customary and traditional ecological knowledge.
It is desirable that students have evidence of volunteer commitment or employment with the following parks and conservation organizations: Parks Canada, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, Natural Wildlife Areas, conservation authorities, Canada Parks and Wilderness Society, Federation of Ontario Naturalists, World Wildlife Fund Canada, cooperating associations, or similar organizations.
