This scholarship has been established by Research In Motion Limited (RIM), a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative wireless solutions for the worldwide mobile communications market.
Four scholarships valued at $5,000 each will be awarded annually to full-time University of Waterloo graduate students in faculties conducting research in the area of mobile communications. Preference will be given to students who hold an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS). Any student receiving the RIM Graduate Scholarship who does not concurrently hold an OGS will have their RIM scholarship matched 1.5:1 by the Faculty in which the recipient of the award is registered (ENG, MATH, SCI). The goal is to provide a scholarship with a minimum value of $12,500.
Varies up to a maximum of $5,000 for 1 full award paid over 3 academic terms.
