I am a PhD Candidate in the Faculty of Environment’s School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability. I’m part of the Faculty’s Global Food Politics Group. My doctoral research looks at Jamaica’s domestic food system as part of a larger research program on food security across seven low- and middle- income countries: the Hungry Cities Partnership.

My name is Sebastian Rios and I am starting the 3rd year of my PhD in the School of Public Health and Health Systems (SPHHS). I am part of the interRAI Canada research group, which works with big population health care data from the Canadian Institute of Health Information (CIHI). More specifically, my graduate research work looks at mental health systems, quality of care, scale development, outcome measurement, and program evaluation.

I am an international student, currently in the final year of my PhD in the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering department.
