Rick Perche, PhD student in Applied Mathematics

Rick is the outreach officer of the International Society for Relativistic Quantum Information and visited the United Kingdom (UK) and Greece. Rick met with Prof Jorma Louka in the UK to collaborate and work closely on relativistic quantum information for a future publication with him and his students. Rick then travelled to Greece with Professor Louko to attend and be a part of the organization of a major conference and meet up with Dr. Anatopoulos. Rick made valuable bonds, contributions, and development to research throughout his experience abroad.

Pershia Norouzian, PhD student in Kinesiology and Health Sciences

Pershia travelled to Sydney, Australia to work with Dr. Simon Lewis at the University of Sydney as a researcher. She is currently working with thousands of patients with Parkinson’s Disease and hopes to improve rehabilitation with visual cueing using VR along with assisting in motor, sensory and neuropsychological assessments. At the end of the placement, Pershia will enhance her technical research skills in study design, implementation, analysis, communication, and professional development.

Qiaoyun Chen, PhD student in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering

Qiaoyun is participating in the 2+2 PhD program at the University of Waterloo and Soochow University in China. She will complete planned projects and experience different educational methods in a different culture. Qiaoyun will further improve her problem-solving ability and communication skills.

David Borkenhagen, PhD student in Psychology

Anthony Gallipoli, MA student in Classical Studies

Anthony travelled to Greece and Italy to research mythology, Roman and Greek History, and the five animals shown on the Roman standardsBy investigating the origins, symbolism, and meanings of each animal, Anthony gained a deeper understanding of Roman and Greek history and mythology.
