Dear University of Waterloo community,
You are invited to a UWaterloo Community Forum to address your questions and concerns as we process the hate-motivated attack related to gender expression and gender identity on our main campus. I will be joined by James Rush, vice-president, academic & provost, and other UWaterloo leaders for a discussion on how to assure your sense of safety on campus, ensure inclusiveness for all, promote well-being, and move forward together.
Please register by Friday, July 14.
Date: Monday, July 17, 2023
Time: 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Theatre of the Arts, Modern Languages or join online with Microsoft Teams
You can submit a question in advance of the forum during the registration process.
Please take care. If you are in need of support, remember you can reach out to the supports available in our community.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
