The event will feature a diverse panel of alumni from a cross-section of professional paths, eager to engage in an honest discussion of how their careers pivoted, grew, and maneuvered unexpected challenges during their time as graduate students.

Sadaf Mollaei (MES ’18), PhD Candidate, University of Waterloo
Sadaf is a PhD Candidate in the Sustainability Management program and her research focuses on eating behaviours and behaviour change, food environments and life cycle assessment. She completed her master's in the same program studying sustainable diets in Ontario. Sadaf worked as a quality control manager in food industries for more than 5 years, however, her academic background is a bit more diverse. She has a bachelor's in civil engineering and geomatics and an MBA in marketing, both from the University of Tehran in Iran.
Sadaf loves watching movies, Zumba, and is really into baking since the beginning of the quarantine!
Ademola Adelakun (MBET ’16), Customer Success Manager, Shopify Plus
Ademola is an e-commerce consultant at Shopify and a Public Speaking Consultant at the Art of Delivery. Ademola holds his undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Legal Studies minor, and a master's degree in Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET), both from the University of Waterloo. Ademola's passion for entrepreneurship helped him land an appearance on CBC's Dragons Den. Alongside his team, he pitched the dragons the idea for a marketplace for amateur performers, as well as performed card magic for them.
Michael Cao (MSc ‘18), Design Researcher, Idea Couture Inc.
Michael Cao graduated with his MSc in Kinesiology with a focus in Neuroscience in 2018. Now, he is a Design Researcher for Idea Couture, a strategic innovation and design firm. In his work, Michael is responsible for designing research to uncover human behaviours and insights, to provide strategic recommendations for product innovation and design.
