Subject: COVID-19 “red zone” updates to campus operations

  • Waterloo Region has moved into the “red zone” of the Province’s COVID-19 response framework, which means we need to change access to some facilities on campus.
  • Classes, labs and research operations will continue as they have been.
  • Travel between regions of the province should be limited to essential purposes. Classes and work are considered essential purposes.

Travel between regions of the province, especially from areas in red or lockdown status, should be limited to essential purposes. Classes and work are considered essential purposes.

If you have any questions about accessing campus with these new red zone restrictions, contact coronavirus@uwaterloo.ca.

If you have health-related questions about COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms, test positive or think you may need to get tested, you can call the University’s COVID hotline, 1-833-UW-COV19 (1-833-892-6819) or complete this web form.

Thank you,

Kate Windsor
