Subject: Library provides print pickup service for researchers
The Library is providing a print pickup service in support of essential research activities.
Who can access? University of Waterloo faculty members, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows will initially have access to this service.
What can be accessed? Print materials in Dana Porter and Davis Centre Libraries for which a digital copy is not readily available. Access to Library collections in other campus locations will soon follow. Print interlibrary loan, including borrowing from the collections of Guelph and Laurier, is not yet available.
How? Place your request for pickup using the designated print pick up Library website. We will aim to fill requests within a week, depending on the volume of requests we receive.
Where? Pickup will occur outside the main entrance to Dana Porter Library. Pickup instructions will be provided to you via email once your order is ready.
Why? Although digital resources have been available to researchers all along, materials held by the University in print only have not been available. This service provides access to these materials while access to library spaces continues to be restricted.
The Library aims to launch the first print pickup on Friday June 26. Dates may change depending on our ability to establish the necessary health and safety protocols. Safety of staff and users is our top priority.
