Two scholarships, valued at $5,000, will be awarded to full-time University of Waterloo graduate students. One scholarship will be awarded to a student in the Faculty of Science and the other scholarship will be awarded university-wide. The scholarships will be awarded to graduate students on the basis of scholastic excellence and demonstrated success in Water Research. This scholarship has been established by Golder Associates, a leader in ground engineering, and environmental services. Their stated mission is to use their skills and experience to “Engineer Earth’s development while preserving Earth’s integrity.”

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
