Now that things have settled a bit I wanted to take a minute to say “Thank You" on behalf of the Healthy Workplace Committee for attending KW@Work Day!
Over 400 employees joined us for the daylong event, attending the keynote speaker sessions, participating in workshops and completing wellness focused activities.
I'm excited to share that thanks to the generous donations received from our campus community, we had a number of passport booth activity winners: Jennifer Nicholson, School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability; Karry Kwan, Psychology; Michelle St. Amour, Human Resources; Laura Geraci, Student Service Centre; Gabrielle Huber, Library; Anya Drygala, Department of Physics and Astronomy; Kathleen St. Laurent, French Studies; Jane Arnem, Athletic and Recreational Services; Chao Yang, School of Optometry; Tanya Pompilio, Registrar’s Office; Laura Anderton, Dean of Engineering Office; Mallory Gilmore, Centre for Extended Learning; Nina Ilic, Office of Research; Karen Dyck, Engineering Undergraduate Office. Congratulations to you all!
I'd also like to thank the wonderful volunteers for all their support. Without their help and care the event would not have run as smoothly as it did.
We look forward to next year’s offering of Keeping Well at Workday. If you would like to offer suggestions for wellness workshops and activities, we invite you to share these.
Thank you for making the day a success!

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
