History convocation 2014: A reflection

This is a moment to celebrate and to be proud. On June 11, the University of Waterloo community gathered for its annual celebration of the awarding of degrees at its Spring Convocation. It was a joyous day full of family, friends and fellow students, and a significant milestone in the lives of our undergraduates.

Congratulations, Ian Milligan!

Effective May 1, 2005, in accordance with the 2003 Faculty Salary Settlement, the University of Waterloo established an Outstanding Performance Fund to reward faculty members for outstanding contribution in teaching and scholarship.

Among the 2014 Arts Faculty winners is History's very own, Ian Milligan!

A history professor from the University of Waterloo who is an expert in human rights and race relations in Canada has been named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC).

Professor Jim Walker received the honour after his peers selected him from a list of exceptional candidates.
