Most policies and procedures for graduate students can be found in the Master's Program Handbook and the PhD Program Handbook.
University of Waterloo-specific policies regarding your academic rights are listed on the Graduate Student Association website.


The Graduate Studies office maintains frequently used forms for:

  • Master's research proposal
  • Master's thesis committee
  • Conference travel funding
  • Adding/dropping courses
  • Change of supervisor
  • Ontario visiting graduate student (OVGS)

Conference travel funding is also available for MA and PhD students through the Tri-University History Program.
