The Indigenous Initiatives Office is thrilled to announce that Robin Stadelbauer joined our team. Robin is Anishnaabe Kwe from the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation and has a long history at Waterloo. She holds a Social Development Studies degree and as a staff member, has worked at St. Paul’s University College, Central Advancement, and most recently with the Office of Vice-President of Advancement.

The government of Ontario has amended the Marriage Act to enable Indigenous officiants to perform marriage ceremonies according to their customs and traditions, and to submit a marriage for registration with the Ontario Registrar General. These changes, which come into force today, recognize the role of Indigenous communities and organizations in designating marriage officiants.

This workshop will raise your awareness of behaviours and attitudes that may contribute or lead to workplace harassment. You will also learn how these can be recognized and addressed in order to minimize the incidences of harassing behaviour.
