Common questions regarding your accounts (WatIAM, email) when your status changes at the University
I'm a graduate student, can I keep my email account when I graduate?
Yes, graduate students can keep their Connect email account upon graduating from the University.
Can I keep my email account when I retire?
You can with permission from your manager in your department. Please note that some departments do not allow you to keep our email account when you retire.
I am retiring, but intend to stay with the University as an adjunct professor or on a casual basis. Can I keep my access?
This would be up to your faculty/department to decide.
I am a visiting faculty member, can I keep my email account when I leave?
Not if you are no longer affiliated with the University, but this would be up to your faculty/department.
What happens to the files on my N-drive or in Office 365 applications when I retire or leave the University?
Your N: drive is deleted. Your faculty/department will give you directions on where to move work-related documents that are still needed.

Who do I contact when my personal information changes? (department, name, etc.).
Contact Human Resources or the person in your faculty/department who is responsible for requesting these changes. See also Changing your WatIAM username.
Can I change my WatIAM username while working at the University?
You can change your WatIAM username if you have a legal name change (e.g. marital status) or your username implies a questionable meaning. See Changing your WatIAM username.
