Dr. Elizabeth Orr

Dr. Elizabeth Orr is a clinical psychologist who is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Waterloo in 2013. She has supervised PhD graduate students in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Waterloo since 2014.

Dr. Orr works in Guelph, Ontario at a private practice called the Guelph Psychology Centre (www.guelphpsychologycentre.com). She provides treatment to adults, couples, children, adolescents, and families struggling with difficulties such as low mood, depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, relationship difficulties, personality difficulties, life and workplace stress, behavioural difficulties, and school struggles.

Dr. Orr’s primary therapy approaches are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy. She also uses techniques from Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. In the past, she has taught the University of Waterloo graduate course, Child Psychopathology and Psychotherapy.
