The members of the President’s Advisory Committee on Student Mental Health (PAC-SMH) have reviewed the many applications and selected supporting panel members for the five topic panels: Student Experience, Student Services, Community Partners, Academic, Mental Health Experts. The large number of applicants from across our University of Waterloo community affirms the passion and awareness for developing and enhancing mental health and wellness services and systems on campus. Thank you!
See the Supporting panel members and mandates page for a full listing of all panel members and the mandate of each panel. Each panel will have 20 members (maximum per panel) and encompass a broad representation from the University. In the selection process, the committee members endeavoured to ensure representation from key student groups including undergraduate and graduate, co-op and regular, international and domestic. The supporting panel members will attend a launch day on July 27, 2017 to hear from expert speakers, receive an overview of current services, and participate in panel breakout sessions to begin their work.
Thank you to everyone who applied. If you were not selected, or are otherwise interested in contributing to the work of this committee, there will be opportunities to participate in the process including:
- Public meetings
- Contacting panel members to express ideas
- Submitting ideas through the PAC-SMH web form
Please see the President’s Advisory Committee on Student Mental Health website for additional information and updates.
