Yee Hong Culture Change Coalition- Spring-ing into Discovery!

In the past two months, the Yee Hong Culture Change Coalition has been working hard and moving out of the first phase of the Appreciative Inquiry process, Dawning, and making plans for the second phase, Discovery.

At just over a year old, the Culture Change Coalition has recently welcomed a number of new faces.  We've been working, in the last few months to bring everyone up to speed.

How have we done this?

The goal of Discovery is to collect as many positive stories about what works well at Yee Hong, from as many diverse voices as possible.  We took another inventory of the persons and roles related to four major groups:

  1. staff,
  2. family partners in care,
  3. residents and
  4. the wider community.

Within these groups, we added roles and positions that we will be sure to ask for positive stories. Then, we began to brainstorm on how we would ask questions.  Different groups can and should be approached differently based on their interactions with Yee Hong, their abilities and their lifestyle needs.  We are currently fine tuning the questions we will ask and narrowing down 'how' we will gather these great stories!
