Note: The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission must be advised at least 90 days in advance of the disposal of any records related to the University's consolidated licence.

Responsible Units should document the disposal/destruction of official records using the University records destruction form or equivalent documentation, to verify that we are following our records retention rules.

  • R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 861: X-Ray Safety, under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Retention Rationale

The retention period is based on R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 861: X-Ray Safety, s.12 (5) which requires dosimetry records to be retained for "a period of at least 3 years" and the 5 year dosimetry period defined in SOR/2000-203: Radiation Protection Regulations.
